My five favourite Mornington Peninsula wedding venues…

Montalto

Set among the vineyards and olive groves of Red Hill South, Montalto is refined without feeling overly formal. Between the Sculpture Trail, wetlands, vines and restaurant, there is a huge amount of variety in one place — plus genuinely excellent food and wine, which always matters. It is one of my favourite Mornington Peninsula wedding venues for couples wanting something relaxed, thoughtful and beautifully put together.

Sunnyside Estate

Sunnyside Estate in Mt Eliza has a real sense of scale — historic architecture, manicured grounds, vineyard and bay views, and enough space to host a substantial wedding while still feeling private. It is polished and impressive, but the layout keeps the day feeling calm. For couples wanting an elegant Mornington Peninsula wedding with a cinematic backdrop, this is a very special option.

Dromana Estate

Dromana Estate is a more relaxed country-winery option, with rolling lawns, established gardens, vineyards, a historic homestead and renovated stables. Everything can happen on site, so you can move naturally from the ceremony into drinks, portraits and the reception without losing half the day travelling around. It is flexible, scenic and works particularly well for couples wanting a wedding that feels stylish but not overdone.

All Smiles Sorrento

Perched directly above Sorrento Ocean Beach, All Smiles is the coastal option on this list. It specialises in relaxed cocktail-style weddings, with floor-to-ceiling glass, endless ocean views, and both indoor and outdoor ceremony options if the weather changes. Naomi, the venue coordinator, is also genuinely one of the best — she truly cares about every wedding, and that makes an enormous difference to how the day feels.

The Continental Sorrento

The Continental has been a Sorrento landmark since 1875, and its restoration has turned it into a complete luxury wedding destination. There are multiple event spaces, beautiful heritage architecture, restaurants, bars, on-site accommodation and a spa, so it works particularly well for couples wanting to turn their wedding into a full weekend with their guests. It feels grand, but still very connected to the relaxed coastal character of Sorrento.
