Weddings at Cleveland Estate – Your Guide to a Vineyard-and-Homestead Classic (Macedon Ranges)

After that effortless Macedon Ranges feel—vines, views and everything in one place? Cleveland Estate delivers. Ceremony, portraits locations, reception space and on-site accomodation, all on a private country property about 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD.

Ceremony options (two great looks)

1) Outdoors in the vines

Say your vows on the among the vines with rolling countryside and the lake as your backdrop (check out some photos from Brianna and Chris' ceremony here below). It’s relaxed, photogenic, and keeps guests close to canapés. Wet-weather covers are available, so you’re not gambling with the forecast.

2) Indoor back-up

If Melbourne does its thing, shift inside without stress—Cleveland lists wet-weather ceremony options so your timeline stays intact and your guests stay comfy.

Reception: The Great Room

A bright, rustic yet elegant space with balconies overlooking the vineyard: perfect for a grand entrance and a packed dancefloor. I love how the bar, dance floor and dining area are all within the same space, meaning that guests have a variety of options on where to hang out, while still staying in the same general area, and not feeling left out. Love that.

Capacity guide: up to ~140 seated or ~200 cocktail (layout-dependent; confirm with the events team). Curfew typically by midnight.

Where to get ready: Homestead & suites

Prep right on site: 50 guest rooms across the estate plus a 6-bedroom Historic Homestead that’s perfect for morning hair/makeup and a calm walk to the ceremony. This is where Brianna and Chris chose to get ready on their wedding day, which you can see on my Cleveland Estate venue tour video.

Best photo spots (quick loop)

You really don't have to do much to get great shots at Cleveland Estate; the historic homestead and beautiful Macedon Ranges lighting do most of the work for you!
