Weddings at Zonzo Estate – Your Guide to a YARRA VALLEY CLASSIC

If you’re dreaming of a Zonzo Estate wedding — that relaxed Yarra Valley feel with vines, views and food that actually matters (the best pizza!), Zonzo always delivers. On-site ceremony, vineyard portraits, epic cocktail hour vibes out on the lawn, Zoncello (!), and a shared-table reception all within a short walk of one another (ideal for guests). It’s a winery, restaurant and award-winning wedding venue rolled into one!

Ceremony options (two great looks)

1) The Grounds

Wide lawns with rolling vineyard and mountain views; classic Yarra Valley energy and a straight walk to terrace drinks after the first kiss.

2) Cappella (the chapel)

A striking, modern non-denominational chapel with lovely light (great for photos!) and doubles as the perfect plan B if weather turns (which it did for Joanna and Luke on this day).

Cocktail Hour on the Lawn

My favourite part of any Zonzo Estate wedding (along with the food) is the cocktail hour. The sprawling outdoor area features both a lawn and tables (with those iconic yellow Zoncello umbrellas). Pair this with some live acoustic music, roaming capanes and cold Zonzcello, and you've officially entered cocktail hour heaven.

Reception: Restaurant or Stables

The Restaurant overlooks the vines and hosts up to 140 for a shared Italian feast with room to dance. I love that it's all in the one space, as it means that your crowd stays together and the night flows effortlessly. Prefer something smaller? The Stables is the intimate option (up to ~80, weekdays lunch).

My ideal timeline here

  • Get ready at a nearby AirBNB.
  • Late-afternoon ceremony.
  • Guests to the terrace for canapes and Zonzcello while we take some portraits in the vineyard.
  • Grand entrance to the restaurant for the shared-table dinner and dancing.

Simple, seamless, and you never leave your people for long.

FAQs (Zonzo Estate)

  • Can we do ceremony and reception on site?

Yes — most couples marry on the grounds or in Cappella, then head straight to terrace canapés and the restaurant reception.

  • How many guests can we host?

Guides list up to 140 in the restaurant; Stables fits up to ~80 for intimate weekday-lunch receptions.

  • Is there a wet-weather option?

Yes! Cappella is your built-in indoor ceremony plan that keeps the look and the timeline intact.

  • What’s the food style?

The food is a huge standout here at Zonzo. Not just pizza, but the best wood-fired pizza. Also, antipasto, slow-cooked mains and cannoli (so good). Food laid on long tables, with Zonzo’s own wines.
