SAN REMO BALLROOM (CARLTON NORTH)
Old-Hollywood glamour meets modern party energy. The San Remo Ballroom is an Art Deco icon just north of the CBD—freshly refurbished, dripping in chandeliers, and built for big, joy-filled receptions.
Cristina and David held their ceremony at St. Dominic's in Camberwell. We then went went to Parliament House and Melbourne University (where the couple first met during their studies) for portraits, before heading to the lovely San Remo Ballroom for the reception. Craig Francis and his band kept the dance floor going all night!
Why couples LOVE it
- Showstopper room: a vast, chandelier-lit ballroom with a central dancefloor that flatters any styling.
- All in one address: foyer or lounge for canapés → grand reveal into the ballroom for dinner + dancing.
- Near-CBD convenience: Carlton North location with classic Melbourne photo spots minutes away. This made it particularly convenience for Cristina and David, as it was a really short from their chosen photo locations.
